About Us
MPact Mentoring Inc. is committed to empowering youth by harnessing the power of sports as a catalyst for academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and career readiness. Our innovative programs holistically nurture the mind, body, and spirit, guiding young individuals toward realizing their utmost potential. We provide academic and mentoring programs, after-school programs, summer camps, sports training, recreation leagues, and community engagement events.
Our Story
MPact Mentoring Inc. was founded on the belief that youth development goes far beyond the game—it’s about shaping confident, capable leaders for life.
In 2019, after concluding his professional basketball career overseas in Panama, Chris Prescott returned home with a passion for giving back. He started small, offering basketball training sessions to a handful of young athletes, simply wanting to share his knowledge and experiences with the next generation. What began with just five clients quickly evolved into something greater. Soon, basketball clinics, tournaments, and leagues brought entire communities together, drawing hundreds of young athletes and thousands of spectators.
Then in 2020, the world changed. The pandemic put basketball on hold—seasons were canceled, rims were removed from public courts, and youth lost not just a sport but a vital outlet for growth and connection. That moment of uncertainty led to a defining decision: the creation of MPact Mentoring Inc.. Chris saw an urgent need to connect student-athletes with mentors and professionals who could guide them in planning for life beyond basketball. Whether sports returned or not, young athletes needed to understand how to translate their passions, talents, and interests into career paths that would set them up for success.
When basketball made its return, MPact Mentoring Inc. blended mentorship with recreation, creating a powerful model that supported young athletes not only in sports but also in their long-term aspirations. As the program grew, so did its mission. Career readiness initiatives were introduced to help students think about professional pathways both in and outside of sports. The message was clear: You are more than an athlete. One day, the game will end—but your potential will not.

Today, MPact Mentoring Inc. follows a three-tiered approach to youth development:
1. Recreation: Providing elite-level training, leagues, tournaments, and camps to develop young athletes.
2. Mentorship: Connecting youth with experienced professionals who can guide them toward personal and professional success.
3. Career Readiness: Preparing student-athletes for lifelong achievement, whether as players, coaches, team owners, doctors, lawyers, or financial executives within the sports industry—or beyond.
At MPact Mentoring Inc., we’re not just helping kids succeed today—we’re equipping them with the tools, guidance, and vision to thrive for a lifetime. Whether on the court, in the boardroom, or in any professional field, our mission is to help young people reach their full potential and see themselves as leaders of the future.
