In 2019, after concluding his professional basketball career overseas in Panama, Chris Prescott returned home with a passion for giving back. What began as small basketball training sessions with just five young athletes quickly grew into clinics, tournaments, and leagues that brought entire communities together—engaging hundreds of youth and thousands of families.
In 2020, the pandemic disrupted youth sports nationwide. Courts were closed, seasons were canceled, and many young people lost a critical outlet for structure, mentorship, and growth. In response, MPact Mentoring Inc. was formally created to ensure student-athletes had access not only to recreation, but also to mentorship and guidance for life beyond sports.
As basketball returned, MPact evolved into a comprehensive youth development organization—blending athletics with mentorship and career readiness. The message has always been clear: you are more than an athlete. One day the game will end, but your potential will not.
Today, MPact Mentoring Inc. delivers a three-tiered approach to youth development:
• Recreation – Training, leagues, tournaments, and camps that build skill and confidence
• Mentorship – Trusted relationships with coaches, professionals, and community leaders
• Career Readiness – Exposure to pathways in sports and beyond, preparing youth for lifelong success

Our Partnership With The Day Hill Dome
MPact Mentoring Inc. is proud to partner with the Day Hill Dome, a premier indoor sports and community facility in Windsor, Connecticut. This partnership represents a major milestone in our organization’s growth and our commitment to year-round access for youth and families.
The Day Hill Dome is a climate-controlled, multi-use complex featuring two full-size basketball courts and flexible turf space, serving as a regional hub for athletics, education, and community engagement.
Through shared values around equity, opportunity, and youth empowerment, this partnership allows MPact Mentoring Inc. to operate year-round programming under one roof—transforming the Dome into a youth development hub that supports:
• Sports training, camps, clinics, and leagues
• Mentorship-driven programming focused on leadership and life skills
• Career exploration and workforce readiness initiatives
• Community events and school partnerships
